Yesterday have released Amazfit Gtr 3 Pro, Gtr 3 And Gts 3, Amazfit presented at a global event three new devices from the smartwatch series, and also talked about the new version of the Zepp OS operating system.

If we are talking specifically about devices, then the GTR 3 Pro model has the following positioning: a beautiful and elegant watch with advanced parameters. For example, it uses an Ultra HD AMOLED matrix with a pixel density of 331 PPI, with support for 60 FPS and brightness up to 1000 nits.
As the name implies, gtr 3 is a simplified version of the Pro watch. Essentially, here’s an advanced GTR 2e smartwatch. Here again, a great clear AMOLED screen with a mode of operation up to 60 frames per second. However, its diagonal is less than that of the Pro version.
Model GTS 3 is a stylish and elegant smart watch unisex format. They have a more minimalistic design, a simpler strap. If the first two models had a round screen, then here it is rectangular. However, the characteristics are no worse: 341 PPI, AMOLED and support for 60 hp Battery due to the size of the case is not so capacious.

Appearance
If we are talking about the device Amazfit GTR 3 Pro, then you can imagine gtR 2. Classic smart watch with leather strap, round dial shape, two buttons, in a metal case. And the display protects the glass slightly curved shape, which has an oleophobic coating.
There will be two options on sale: with a leather strap (brown) and silicone (black). The width of the strap is standard – 22 mm, length – 155-218 mm.
Interestingly, the product positioning says that the GTR 3 Pro is better suited for men.
But GTR 3 can buy both men and women. This is due, apparently, to the color: there is black and gold (and the case, and the strap). The dimensions of these watches are slightly smaller, although the thickness and weight are about the same.
If the Pro version had a leather strap, then there is only silicone.
Model Amazfit GTS 3 has a different form factor – a rectangular screen, a little simpler appearance, a little smaller, much thinner and lighter. This is a classic version of the Amazfit smartwatch, a reference to the Bip series.
On the hand GTS almost do not feel, the strap is silicone, quite soft, has a structure in the form of stripes.
A distinctive feature of all watches is the crown. It is designed to navigate through the menu. And pressing activates the screen.

All models are equipped with high-quality AMOLED-matrices with brightness up to 1000 nits. But the most important feature of all three devices is the support of 60 k/s animation. And it is dynamic, as Apple did in their iPhone 13 Pro: if the picture is static, then the frequency decreases to 4 fps, as soon as you start scrolling through the menu list – increases to 60 fps. If you work slowly with the screen, the frequency will float from 20 to 40 fps. All this was noticeable on the firmware for developers: in real time, the number of frames was displayed on the screen. After updating the device, all this data disappeared from the screen, which is natural.
Now the picture on the Amazfit watch looks just magical: the animation is smooth, the clarity is high, the brightness and contrast are at a high level.
Here it is worth talking about the dials. “Delivered” new watchfaces with animation. Looks beautiful, you can’t say anything. For GTR models, most likely, there will be more options for the design of dials. For GTS in the app store they are, but not so much. Among the staff, too, there are. Interestingly, on the firmware for developers by default, almost all the dials were animated, extremely unusual. After flashing, they disappeared somewhere.
AOD mode hasn’t gone away. It is present on all three models. There is a choice of time of glow, there is a choice of dials. There are quite a few of them.

Above in the plates I have indicated all possible parameters at the moment. Note that the time is based on animation up to 60 frames per second. For example, the new Huawei Watch 3 lasts 3 days at best. And in the case of Amazfit, we get at least 6 days in active mode.
Of course, you need to test and check in real life. I am sure that the discrepancies in the data of the manufacturer and mine will be minimal.
And functioning with GPS always landed the battery just for once. Start training on almost any watch with positioning – and consider that at the end of the lessons the watch will have to be charged again.
Systems and features
The new version of Zepp OS has undergone some changes. Now in the curtain of quick settings there are more points:
- Flashlight
- Theater mode, when brightness is reduced to a minimum
- Calendar. A round date icon leads to a full-size calendar
- Battery charge that leads to energy-saving mode
And much more.
On the left are stretched widgets. Here you can find “Weather”, PAI, “Alarm clock”, “Sleep”, heart rate measurements, activity and so on. All this is easy to replace with other functions.
Swipe from right to left leads you to full-size widgets with heart rate, weather, PAI and so on.
Pressing the mechanical button starts the main menu.
And among the functions I found one rather interesting point – measuring all the data in one go. You run the measurements and after 40 seconds you get your heart rate, SpO2, stress, and respiratory rate.
Of the features of measurements of various parameters: now the level of oxygen in the blood is measured in just 15 seconds, the phases of sleep are determined even by a 20-minute rest, a tracker of women’s health has appeared.

In my subjective opinion, the most important innovation, which I personally have been waiting for a long time, is a beautiful and smooth animation with a frequency of up to 60 frames per second.
Another impressive feature is the working time of all models: at least they can “live” 6 days with the most active mode.
Measurement of different health parameters has become even faster, there are more sports modes.
From a design point of view, there are no fundamental changes. Here is a classic round and rectangular smart watch made of quality materials.
The cost of Amazfit GTS 3 and GTR 3 will be about US $180. More sophisticated Amazfit GTR 3 Pro will cost about US $236.47.
