Apple iOS 14.5 beta 3 enables new ‘Items’ tab in Find My to track AirTags and third-party accessories

On March 3, foreign media MacRumors reported that latest news for Apple iOS 14.5 beta 3. Starting with iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5, users will be able to use Apple’s built-in Find My app. Which will be able to track selected non-Apple branded products, such as the Beats headset and the upcoming introduction Belkin. In preparation for the launch of this feature, today Apple released iOS 14.5 Developer Preview Beta 3. A new “item” label is visible by default in the Find My app. Previously, this tab could only be accessed by switching developer settings or entering the URL scheme “findmy: // items” in Safari on iPhone or iPad. In addition to AirTags, Apple announced at WWDC 2020 that third-party tracking accessories could be integrated into the Find My app with iOS 14..
