Gadget Pixels reported on October 28 that today, GALAXY officially released the GALAXY Z690 Metal Master motherboard that supports Intel’s 12th generation Core, and GAMER RGB DDR5 memory. This generation of processors uses Intel’s 10nm process technology, large and small core design, replaced with a full line of LGA1700 sockets, and compatible with DDR4 and DDR5 memory.
The GALAXY motherboard uses black PCB paint, covered with white heat-dissipating armor, and has a metallic texture. The motherboard is designed with no lights, and PCIe 5.0 slot is provided for the first time to prepare for future high-performance graphics cards. In addition, this motherboard also has 3 M.2 solid-state hard drive interfaces, the first two are PCIe 4.0×4 speed, and the other is PCIe 3.0×4 specification.
The PCI slots and memory slots of this motherboard have metal shielded shells to improve signal stability. The motherboard uses 14-phase power supply , single-phase uses 90A DrMos, which can meet the overclocking use of the 12th generation Core i9-12900 series processors. The motherboard CPU is powered by 4+8pin.
Gadget Pixels is informed that the GALAXY Z690 Metal Master motherboard comes standard with WIFI 6 wireless network card and comes with a magnetic WIFI antenna. The product will provide two versions, which support DDR5 and DDR4 memory respectively , and each provides 4 memory slots.
The GAMER RGB DDR5 memory provides a colorful appearance, the surface is covered with a heat sink, and the top has RGB lighting. Block holes are reserved at the top of the product, and players can install transparent blocks by themselves to achieve custom lighting effects.
This series of memory provides two frequency specifications:
- 4800MHz CL36-36-36-76 1.1V
- 5200MHz CL38-40-40-77 1.25V
In terms of capacity, there are three options for a single 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB. The official said that during the test of the engineering version of the memory, the read and write speed of the DDR5 default frequency can reach about 69000MB/s , which is comparable to the top DDR4 memory. In the future, GALAXY will introduce more high-frequency DDR5 memory modules.
According to Gadget Pixels, the GALAXY Z690 Metal Master motherboard and GAMER RGB DDR5 memory will be available on major e-commerce platforms in the future, and the price has not yet been announced.
