Raspberry Pi store in Cambridge celebrates its third anniversary today, and to commemorate the occasion, Raspberry Pi hopes to replicate the experience in pop-up stores in towns and cities across the UK this year. It tried a pop-up store format on London’s Oxford Street last year, and now wants to replicate it in Edinburgh, London and Newcastle (it’s actually in Gateshead, right next to Newcastle).
By visiting the pop-up store, Raspberry Pi promises users a proper Cambridge store experience. You will be able to process and taste products at the workstation and discuss these items with staff before deciding whether to purchase. Items you’ll find include the Raspberry Pi 4, Raspberry Pi 400, and more. In addition, there are accessories and peripherals as well as clothing, books and other merchandise for sale.
The pop-up store dates and locations are as follows:
Newcastle (Gateshead) Metro Centre
Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th May
St James’s, Edinburgh
Friday 29th and Saturday 30th July
Oxford Street, London
Friday 29th and Saturday 30th October
The pop-up store is ideal for those who know about the Raspberry Pi and have considered buying a computer from the company, but never did. These stores will give you the opportunity to experience the devices firsthand before buying. If you’re planning to go on the second day of the store, the Raspberry Pi says it will make sure to bring enough of each product, so there shouldn’t be any sell-out items when you arrive.
