When looking at the Redmi Buds 3 Pro, it seems that first of all it is a fashion accessory. The headphones come in two colors: black and gray. Mother-of-pearl finish in gray makes the headphones look like earrings. I think that’s a good thing. Any more interesting than the usual “ears”, made in the style of AirPods.
It’s hard to keep track of all the TWS headphones, but for me, the design of the Redmi Buds 3 Pro stands out. Well, when such a bright design, it is obvious that someone will like the headphones, and someone will be harshly indignant.
At Redmi Buds 3 Pro price in india ₹2,999, Redmi Buds 3 Pro seem to be a very profitable purchase, even if here, in addition to design, there would be no other fashionable features. And they are here:
- noise reduction 35 dB
- fast wired charging + fast wireless charging
- 28 hours of total work
- Ability to connect two devices at the same time
- “Communication” mode, which allows you to hear the interlocutor when the headphones are in the ear.

About appearance and convenience
We have already released a full review of the headphones (link at the end of the article). Two reasons prompted me to get acquainted with headphones.
First, I broke the rest of the Bloody M90 advertising project. Beautiful headphones that I recommend to buy. In Moscow, there were rains, and I actively went to play sports at the stadium in headphones.
The Bloody M90 has IPX4 water protection, and the headphones worked perfectly. But at some point, I put the wet contact headphones in the case. Well, it is logical that one headphone after this stopped working. So here’s the science: even if the headphones have water protection, you should not charge them wet. In principle, similar to phones: before charging, you need to dry the connector.

Secondly, they offered a gray version. And if the black version looks typical, then gray with its bright non-standard color causes a desire to touch.
The case of the headphones is made of velvety plastic. Most of all, it resembles a pebble on the sea. Tactilely pleasant unmarked material. On the bottom there is a Type-C connector for charging. Also on the case there is a button to transfer the headphones to pairing mode. This is necessary to connect a second device to the headphones.
In the case, the headphones occupy the uppermost part. Apparently, the rest is occupied by the battery and wireless charging. This position of the headphones once again emphasizes their similarity with a jewelry accessory.
Initially, the headphones seemed a little bulky to me, but surprisingly in the ear they fit perfectly. Lately, I’ve been hooked up listening to audiobooks at Storytel. I listen before bed and often fall asleep with headphones. The next morning my ears didn’t hurt. By the way, in the ears of the headphones are held tightly. You can jump rope, and even during sleep did not fall out of your ears. I was fitted with the ear cushions that were originally installed.
Impressions of use
I think I’m primarily interested in how noise reduction works. Surprisingly good. And even better than the Bloody M90. This is due to the shape of the headphones. Redmi Buds 3 Pro better clog the ear.
The manufacturer says that noise reduction is at the level of 35 dB. This noise reduction perfectly filters background noise. Here I am standing at the window, the wind aggressively attacks the foliage, I hear the hum of cars from the next street, the work of the trimmer in the hands of a lawnmower, somewhere in the distance the siren of the ambulance is howling, somewhere on the side there is a “zhigul” without a muffler. I turn on the noise reduction, and there is only the sound of “Zhiguli”, but even then quite weak.
Absolutely here you should not expect the effect, like the 1000XM4 from Sony, which allows you to be alone with your thoughts in the cabin of the aircraft. Redmi Buds 3 Pro is not able to drown out the hum of the aircraft. It feels like reducing the noise level by about 50%. In my opinion, a very decent result, allowing you to comfortably croot in flight.
Looking at the Redmi Buds 3 Pro, I remembered the movie “Equilibrium” (or some such fiction), where people walked around with filters for the nose. In my opinion, in today’s noisy world, such noise-cancelling headphones should become a must-have gadget for constant wear even without listening to music. Just to protect your hearing and partially relieve the brain. However, maybe when only electric cars remain in cities, we will again live in silence.
Despite the daring iridescent mother-of-pearl, the headphones in the ears do not seem too provocative.
The headphones have 3 microphones. 2 microphones are responsible for noise reduction, and the third for the transmission of speech. And here we must give Redmi Buds 3 Pro credit. As a headset for conversations, headphones are perfect.
In the silence of the house, the interlocutors noted speech completely isolated from external noises. Some people did not even like it a little, because, according to the interlocutor, it sounds somehow unnatural. But better headphones showed themselves in a noisy environment. The microphone (and maybe the claimed artificial intelligence) confidently clinged to the voice, and even in the subway car I was heard quite well.
From the musical capabilities of the headphones, I do not have any special delights. To be honest, it feels in terms of sound that in the segment up to 10-15 thousand rubles (when it comes to plugs) it is not so much the brand as the cost that is important. So, for example, for 5,000 rubles you can get this sound, and it does not matter, it’s about Redmi Buds 3 Pro, or about Bloody, or about what brand.
Although, of course, how to compare. For my subjective taste, the Redmi Buds 3 Pro sound no better or worse than Apple’s AirPods. For some, such a statement means high sound quality, and someone will say that if you like AirPods, then you do not understand anything in sound.
Redmi Buds 3 Pro – these are universal headphones that exactly play any music. Absolutely clearly distinguish between the tops, middle frequencies and bottoms. Perhaps a little lacking is what is called the scene, that is, when, closing your eyes, you can imagine a scene on which the drums are farther, the guitar is closer, etc. On the other hand, is there a TWS “ears” with a good scene for this money?
Management is standard – taps. Perhaps it is only worth noting that there is no single tap. For any action, you need either two or three taps. A long single tap is a switch between noise cancellation and “transparency” mode to hear the interlocutor.
The case has 24 hours of work + 4 hours in headphones. Honestly, I never managed to discharge the headphones to zero. Constantly put on, then put the headphones in the case. I can only say that the case consciously for a couple of weeks of the test never charged. Only from time to time put on wireless charging. In my opinion, this is an indicator that Xiaomi engineers did everything right. You use headphones and do not think about charging.
The characteristics state that the headphones work at a distance of up to 10 meters from the signal source. Apparently, it all depends on the clogging of the ether. For example, in the stadium and in the gym, the “ears” perfectly held 15 meters. The main thing is that there are no obstacles in the way of the signal.

And finally, I will say that I did not really understand why the model received the postscript “Pro”. Perhaps “professionalism” refers to the presence of a “noisemaker” or artificial intelligence that must adapt sound quality.
Conclusion
For my taste, Xiaomi managed to make a bestseller. Good characteristics, affordable price, pleasant and non-standard design.

On the “Redmi Store” competitors for Redmi Buds 3 Pro . TWS-headphones with noise cancellation start from 600 rubles. However, if you remove all the nouneim-“ears”, then there will be either options from the same Xiaomi, or, for example, Huawei / Honor. Roma White speaks favorably about Huawei FreeBuds 3i (about 4i is not so favorable).
