• Don’t look at the AnTuTu scores, but check the speed of your RAM and storage. If we were talking about smartphones from 10 tr., Then I would say that the RAM speed should be higher than 10 thousand MB / s. But in the case of up to Rs. 10,000, the RAM speed is not less than 5 thousand MB / s. And the read speed of the drive is not lower than 220-250 MB / s.
• Don’t chase the number of cameras. Even 10 modules of 2 MP will not shoot better than one, but a high-quality lens of 8 or 13 MP. All these macro cameras and depth sensors are not very important in cheap devices. If you really want a bokeh effect in portrait mode, then download Google Camera or AirBrush, where high-quality algorithms will easily blur the background.
• The optimal chipset in this price segment is MediaTek. Qualcomm gives less performance for the same money (unless they are engaged in dumping or for some other reason the smartphone has not dropped in price, like Vsmart in this collection).
• Sometimes, instead of buying a new smartphone up to Rs. 10,000, it is better to go to Avito and look for initially more expensive devices selling for a suitable price. Of course, this option is fine if you have someone who is minimally technical. It is necessary to inspect the device, examine all chips, scratches and connectors for drowning and other things.
• And remember, buying a smartphone under Rs. 10,000 is not a sprint, but a marathon. You can’t just go out and buy the first machine you see. As a hunter, you need to lie down and hide in order to jump out at the right moment and buy a smartphone at the best price.

The Realme C21 is my favorite. I worked with the device this winter, taking it on vacation to Karelia. Unfortunately, we only had advertising material about it, although the smartphone would have received a positive review in an editorial review.

Note: realme C21 has 3/32 GB version. It costs a thousand less, but I didn’t hold it in my hands.

What is so special about a smartphone?

• Good color reproduction and screen brightness (400 nits is not ideal, but it allows you to work fine). Minus: the screen has no oleophobic coating at all. I remember that the first couple of days my fingers practically did not slide on the screen. I did everything with jabs. Then, apparently, he splattered, and it became good.
• NFC. Very rare for this price, but features are available.
• Good 13MP main camera. For some reason, two more 2 MP modules were inserted. There is no benefit from them. But the main camera takes good pictures. See the overview at the link at the end of the paragraph. And below is an example from my Instagram.
• Good hardware: MediaTek Helio G35 + 4/64 GB of memory (normal speed).
• Clean shell with no ads, good software + hardware optimization = correct battery life.
• There is a magnetometer, that is, the maps indicate the direction in which the smartphone is turned.
• Dedicated microSD slot.

Cleverly enjoyable tool. Realme tried to mess with the design, but it’s really just a ribbed back. Fingerprints are invisible and will not slip.

Like, I don’t see any harm. The 5000 mAh battery takes an infinitely long charge with 10W charging. MicroUSB port is used for charging.

By the way, a funny moment about MicroUSB. When I was in Irkutsk. I was faced with the fact twice that they asked for Android charging cable. At the same time, both people meant microUSB. I took out the Type-C, and the person was like: “No, for the Android cable, not this.”

Please note that I do not recommend Redmi 9A or 9C, but a pure “nine” without indices. It is advisable, of course, to search and buy the 4/64 GB version. However, 3 + 32 GB is also, in general, not bad. If anything, the smartphone has a separate microSD slot, so you can live.

What’s Notable About Redmi 9:

• The usual “nine” is powered by the Mediatek Helio G80 chipset. While the 9A uses a weak Helio G25. The G80 is a very productive chipset, knocking out under 200,000 points in AnTutu, that is, this is already a value when you can play relatively complex games quite comfortably.
• The screen has a good margin of brightness. In auto mode, almost 430 nits. Excellent color rendering. The screen is also covered with Gorilla Glass 3.
• The battery is 5,000 mAh (like the realme C21), but it has 18W charging. It can be charged in 1.5 hours.
• The smartphone has a very good camera system. 13 MP main + 8 MP “ultra-wide” + 5 MP macro + 2 MP depth sensor. Non-budget set. All cameras have a decent resolution (the 5 MP macromodule is especially surprising). As a result, great photos, all modules are working, and not for marketing.
• There is NFC.

• Subjectively, I love the design of the Redmi 9.

The main disadvantage of Xiaomi is no, not embedded ads. I want to note that there are no ads in Xiaomi. It’s about the shell itself. But there are many very sociable applications that will offer to install various games, read the news, etc. The first 3-4 days of use you will spend on constantly turning off more and more new notifications. As a Xiaomi expert, I spend about 15 minutes to set up silence on every new smartphone.

Tip of the day: after turning on and performing the initial setup of your smartphone, do not open any applications. Xiaomi has few preinstalled apps. They occupy half of the screen – Mi-music, Mi-video, app store, wallpaper carousel. Without launching them, immediately try or delete (most likely, you will not succeed, since deletion is usually allowed only on more expensive devices), or turn off all notifications. Collect all applications in a separate folder and never think about them. Download the music and video player on Google Play.

Formally, the Galaxy A12 is sold for Rs. 10,999, but the 3/32 GB version can be found up to Rs. 10,000.

Perhaps Samsung can be recommended to those who want to feel that they are not buying a pig in a poke, but a solid brand. People (although they don’t believe in marketing) believe that the product of a world famous brand is more reliable than that of a lesser known company.
